Description

The Wild Trout Trust (WTT) is a registered charity dedicated to the protection and survival of the iconic brown trout, a living indicator of the health of the landscape around us (www?.wildtrout?.org).

WTT works with a variety of stakeholder groups to further the conservation of wild trout, including NGO’s, fishing clubs, farmers, riparian owners, community groups, academia and government agencies.

We need a part-time Fundraising Events Officer to

  • run our annual auction, a vital source of funding;
  • organise events for our existing (and new) supporters;
  • engage with corporate partners;
  • win support from grant-awarding trusts & foundations;
  • contribute new ideas for fundraising;
  • support the Director in reporting to funders.

Is this you?

A self-starter with experience in charity fundraising, likely in a related conservation sector; you must share WTT’s ethos and values and understand the world in which we work. You will have key project management skills, be full of ideas and able to take those to a successful conclusion. You will be highly organised, attend to detail, be IT competent, have great interpersonal and social skills and an existing network of relevant contacts (or demonstrate a capacity quickly to develop such a network). You will be home-based yet work closely with a number of colleagues currently based in the south of the UK.
