The role
The Council is seeking to appoint an experienced parks professional to manage a team of 8 technical officers and provide leadership and direction in respect of the Council’s urban and rural open spaces, parks and playing fields, to ensure they meet public expectations and are managed in a cost effective and sustainable manner. The role will have a Northumberland wide remit, as well being directly responsible for a number of specific high profile parks. The post holder will be required to manage annual revenue budgets in excess of £500,000 and capital improvement budgets in excess of £100,000, as well as leading on the delivery of a number of specific parks capital enhancement scheme.
