Description |

Falkirk Community Trust seeks to engage a highly-motivated, capable person to supervise and co-ordinate landscape and building maintenance operations at the Helix. You will possess relevant operational management experience, preferably gained in a Parks and/or Outdoor environment and be able to lead, motivate and develop your teams. You will be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the issues associated with the running of Parks venues and be responsible for ensuring that service delivery is carried out within agreed budgets and timescales. You will be required to be highly pro-active in identifying issues and be able to resolve them quickly and safely with minimum supervision. You will have experience of a wide variety of maintenance processes and be aware of relevant Health and Safety procedures. You will implement administrative systems for maintenance activities and ensure that they comply with approved procedures. You will be instrumental in looking for opportunities to develop the park and its habitats as the Helix and the Kelpies continue to evolve into one of Scotland’s main tourist attractions. You will have primary responsibility for ensuring the visitors to the park receive an exceptional standard of customer service and you will be required to provide them with information and guidance on facilities and events. You must be able to work out-with normal hours including evenings and weekends on a regular basis. In addition, you may be called out at any time to deal with emergency situations. The successful applicant will be employed by Falkirk Community Trust. The Trust is a charitable company set up by Falkirk Council to deliver culture, library, recreation and sport services on its behalf from 1st July 2011.
