Permanent Full Time 37.5 hours per week

Based in central and Southern Essex

 

Are you an enthusiastic and passionate outdoor educator with great wildlife identification knowledge and communication skills? Can you deliver sessions to suit a variety of age groups and audiences to inspire them about their local outdoor spaces? If the answer is yes, read on… 

Essex Wildlife Trust are the county’s leading conservation charity, committed to protecting wildlife and inspiring a lifelong love of nature; and we would love you to join our committed and enthusiastic team. 

We are looking for a Forest School Level 3 trained Outdoor Learning Officer to plan and deliver sessions out at schools; support education officers at busy times at centres in central and South Essex and plan and run regular events such as Nature Tots, Nature Babies and Home education sessions. There will be funded project work in our centres and out at schools as well as events, activities and birthday parties at weekends and during school holidays.

We are looking for someone who can work with school groups from Early Years to A level delivering interesting and engaging outdoor education; run Forest School sessions and deliver exciting and varied events for a wide range of audiences. The role is based at either Hanningfield Reservoir, Langdon or Thameside Nature Discovery Parks with travel to other Essex Wildlife Trust sites and locations in central and Southern Essex.
