Contract Length: Fixed Term till December 2021.
We have a vacancy for a One Planet Pioneers Project Officer. The postholder will be responsible for developing and delivering environmental volunteer opportunities with young people. There will also be a responsibility to liaise with partner organisations, both formal and informal, particularly Tees Valley Wildlife Trust and Actes, on the One Planet Pioneers project to ensure co-ordinated and seamless delivery. You will manage the project evaluation on a daily basis, prepare quarterly reports and ensure the safety and well-being of young people involved in the projects: Preparing appropriate risk assessments, undertaking safety checks and ensuring all appropriate policies are complied with. The post will also involve weekend and evening work.
With a background in horticulture and practical conservation, the successful candidate will also have experience of working with young people in a formal or informal setting. The successful candidate will also be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure through the Disclosure and Barring Service, due to working with children and vulnerable people. A full clean driving license, a PTLLS qualification and a First Aid qualification are desirable but not essential.
