Description
The oceans volunteer coordinator is responsible for liaising with oceans volunteers across New Zealand in order to inform, motivate and mobilise them to take action to support the oceans campaign, in line with campaign strategy and objectives.
  • Produce oceans activity packs
  • Write the content
  • Find appropriate images
  • Cost out printing
  • Get signed off by key parties
  • Keep core and active oceans volunteer databases up to date with all relevant details
  • Send oceans news and updates to oceans volunteers
  • Work with oceans volunteers in the key centres
  • Identify key oceans volunteers in key centres around New Zealand (Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch and Dunedin)
  • Keep them motivated and up to date with campaign information, events, and volunteer opportunities
  • Send them higher level communications about strategy and international updates
  • Visit team leaders where necessary and approved
  • Organise oceans team leaders' meeting or teleconference if necessary and approved
  • Provide updates to frontline and volunteer teams on oceans issues
