We are part of exciting new partnership with local councils and Naturespace to provide a sustainable and strategic approach to Great Crested Newt conservation through district licencing.
We need an experienced conservationist with a passion for a strategic approach to conservation to support local planning authority’s to implement the requirements of the district licencing system through the development management processes.
You will need…
- Ecology based degree
- A range of experience working with great crested newt survey or mitigation practice
- Sound understanding of Ecological Impact Assessments
- Experience of working with the planning/ development sectors
- Highly literate and numerate, able to analyse and present data
- Organised, methodical and conscientious
Special Conditions…
- Use of a car for work purposes
Initially the contract period is until the July 2021. It is hoped that the role will extend beyond that period but that is subject to confirmation.
This role can be based in either Coleford or Cirencester, please state in your cover letter if you have a preference for either site. Please also let us know if you hold a full UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle for work.
