Description

This year our student network voted to campaign on the issue of migrants rights, making this, from mid 2016, one of our two core campaigns across the country. Now we are looking for someone with experience in campaigning for migrants rights to help us develop strategy, raise money and develop partnerships for the new campaign. It’s an exciting role for someone who wants to help build a powerful campaign which could last anything from three to ten years, and hopefully make a big difference to the political landscape for migrants. This campaign will be run by one of the largest and most active campaigning networks in the country. You will work with key activists from this network to develop the campaign.

This is a 2 days/week fixed term contract, ending 1 September 2016. However, we are hoping to secure further funding to staff the campaign for a longer period and for more than 2 days/week. If funding is secured and to fund a period that starts before the end of this contract, this opportunity will be first offered to the person in this post..

Contract: 2 days per week (14 hours per week)

Start date: 4th January 2016

End date: 2 September 2016 (but see above regarding further income)

Salary: £28,532 pro rated + 10% contribution to pension.

The closing date for applications for this vacancy is 2nd November 2015 at 9am
