Description

Do you love the inner complexities of a membership database?

Can you inspire and motivate?

As an environmental charity, we are a membership organisation coordinating the details of nearly 30,000 members who support Surrey Wildlife Trust through subscription donations, responses to appeals, corporate sponsorship and volunteering.

The Trust needs an experienced Membership Services Manager who really understands the beneficial workings of a membership database and how using the data can deliver business targets.  In line with our objectives, this Manager will manage our database; create and lead a retention strategy for our members; line manage and develop the membership services team who handle the day to day database operations; respond to members and ensure compliance with data protection; and create a step change in staff led membership recruitment.

The Membership Services Manager will also develop and implement the Face to Face membership recruitment strategy and, with the F2F Coordinator, develop our team of external facing individuals who recruit new members.

With experience of managing a loyalty or membership programme, using high volume data alongside excellent customer service standards, the right candidate must be resourceful and imaginative, self disciplined and process driven to fulfil the membership targets required by the Trust. Experience of managing a small team is essential together with a strong understanding of database capabilities and their practical application.  A passion for data manipulation and analysis is essential!

Surrey Wildlife Trust cares for over 80 nature reserves across Surrey, including two wildlife education centres.  We also run hundreds of events each year to give people the chance to explore and enjoy their local natural environment. We manage the land for conservation, education and biodiversity and provide safe public access.

If you can fulfil the criteria outlined on the job profile, please complete an application form and send it to Richard.hunt@surreywt.org.uk by 5pm on Monday 29th February 2016; interviews will be held on Monday 7th March.
