Summary: Brown and May Marine Ltd. are looking to recruit a team member for Marine Environmental and Data Support. The successful candidate will join a team expanding to meet an increasing workload both from existing and new clients in the renewable, oil and gas and subsea cable industries.
The primary role will be to assist in the provision of GIS data support for the company. You will be involved in the daily GIS work and data production to exacting deadlines in relation to a variety of projects in the offshore renewables, sub-sea cables, and oil and gas industries in both the UK and Europe.
Essential Requirements
Degree in Marine Science/Biology/Fisheries Science or related discipline
One year post graduate experience or education
Experience in data analysis, interpretation and acquisition and statistics
Background experience and/or knowledge of fisheries and fish ecology
Knowledge and/or experience of using GIS software
Communication and Report writing experience
Ability to plan workloads and work to deadlines
Teamwork, flexibility and effective time management
Strong interpersonal skills
Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office)
Full driving license
Desirable Requirements
Relevant work experience
Experience of surveys in the field including sea going surveys
Valid ENG1 medical
Offshore Safety Certificates
