Marine Biologist

We are seeking a Marine Biologist to work as part of our Marine Discovery Centre (MDC) team and help conduct our research programmes, based at Four Seasons Resort Maldives. The post is an excellent opportunity for an individual in the early stages of their career looking to build on their current experience within an environmental consultancy company.

The role involves:

• Working as part of the current MDC team;
• Participating in & supporting all programmes: coral frame propagation, fish breeding, turtle rehabilitation;
• Collecting and analysing data;
• Contributing to regular written reports (in English) of MDC activities and targets;
• Running guest activities;

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience in marine conservation and research, ideally gained in a tropical country;
• Knowledge and experience of tropical fish species and mega fauna;
• Knowledge of aquaria and sea turtle rehab preferred;
• Experience of data collection and analysis;
• Academic qualifications in a relevant discipline (Marine Biology, Environmental Science);
• MSc / PhD preferred.
