Are you interested in taking on an exciting role in marine conservation?

JNCC is seeking a motivated benthic ecologist to take on the role of Marine Assessment Scientist within the Marine Ecosystem Assessment and Advice Team in Peterborough or Aberdeen.

JNCC is the public body that advises the UK Government and Devolved Administrations on UK-wide and international nature conservation, as well as having specific responsibilities for marine biodiversity conservation in UK offshore waters. Within JNCC, the Marine Ecosystem Assessment and Advice Team is responsible for developing and undertaking assessments of the health of the marine environment at different scales, and for providing scientific advice on marine policy implementation to a range of organisations.

The position requires a good understanding of benthic ecology and the ability to analyse and interpret different types of data. As well as strong organisational and communication skills to maximise coordination both within JNCC and with external partners.
