The purpose of the role will be to deliver a diverse range of outdoor learning and community engagement across our 10,000 outdoor classroom.

There’s something very special about working in Lee Valley Regional Park. Set in award-winning parklands, sports and leisure venues, nature reserves and gardens which attract more than 4 million visitors a year.

The Learning & Engagement Team helps all ages including schools, teachers, youth groups, adults and families utilise the Park’s huge potential as an outdoor learning resource. We now wish to recruit a resourceful, flexible Learning & Engagement Officer to join our team. You will deliver our high quality outdoor learning programmes for schools and families covering a wide range of ages and abilities at locations across the Park. You will also deliver engagement activity for community groups of all ages. This is a great opportunity for someone to gain diverse experience in the field of outdoor learning and community engagement.

You should have experience working with a wide range of people in an outdoor setting and be confident working independently and as part of a team.  This hands-on role requires enthusiasm and the ability to communicate effectively with all ages outdoors, but particularly young people, promoting interest and understanding of the Lee Valley Regional Park’s open spaces, biodiversity and Olympic legacy sites.  Sound IT literacy, dependability and good customer service are important for the office and resource management aspects of the position. Part of the role is processing customer bookings and supporting the administration of the Service.

A full driving licence and use of a car is essential and successful applicants will be required to obtain a Disclosure Certificate form the Disclosure Barring Service, for which assistance will be given.
