If you’re passionate about progressing sustainable development and nature recovery, this is your chance to make a real contribution to policy and practice in one of a wide range of Lead Adviser roles across England. Depending on your interests and the team you join, you could find yourself working within the statutory planning or wildlife licensing process; advising on England’s biodiversity commitments, including legislation relating to protected species and Sites of Special Scientific Interest; connecting people with nature and advising policymakers and stakeholders on the effects of access to nature on health and wellbeing for all communities; or working with farmers and landowners to advise on how they manage their land in a sustainable way.
We’re looking for people with degree-level knowledge or experience in an environmental field, along with some knowledge of relevant legislative frameworks. Your background should include providing advice to customers and stakeholders and conveying complex messages to diverse audiences, both in person and in writing. Highly organised, with good team-working skills, you’ll be capable of meeting targets within a fast-paced environment.
