The Ramblers is looking to recruit a skilled and experienced individual for our central office in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident adaptable individual to join a successful charity during an exciting period in our history. The role is to support the HR department in achieving our objectives. We are looking for an individual who possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders.

 

This is an exciting time to join the Ramblers team and a great opportunity to make a lasting and tangible impact on the future success of the charity. The ideal candidate will be an experienced HR professional who has operated within a fast paced busy environment. With the ability to work consistently to high standards with a sound knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.

 

Along with your passion and commitment to HR, other essential skills include:

  • Understanding and application of Employment, Equalities, Health & Safety,  GDPR legislation as it relates to the employee life cycle
  • Ability to interpret new employment legislation and implementing policies and procedures within the frame work of the organisation
  • Previous experience of managing an employee relations caseload
  • Previous experience of managing organisational change
  • Previous experience of dealing with conflicting priorities and maintaining a first rate HR service
  • Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy
  • Strong verbal and influencing skills
  • Confidence to communicate to a range of audiences both orally, in writing both professionally and assertively
  • Ability to use the Microsoft suite of applications
  • Previous experience of working with designing and delivering training sessions and materials
  • Ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner
