Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) is the Lead Partner for a 2014 – 2020 European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) programme of Green Infrastructure (GI) projects across Scotland. These posts are partly supported by ERDF. The proposal fits with ERDF objectives to improve the urban environment, meets Scottish Government (SG) aspirations to improve green space in our towns and cities, especially close to areas of deprivation and contributes to SNH’s Corporate Plan goals, particularly improving health and well-being, and reducing health inequalities.

The purpose of the role is to support the successful delivery of the ERDF Green Infrastructure (GI) Strategic Intervention with particular responsibility for project management and funding, and performance reporting. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong skills in partnership working and delivering projects. Experience of working within a funding environment would be highly advantageous as would previous experience of community engagement and /or monitoring and evaluation.

Edinburgh or Inverness preferred locations for this post, however other SNH office locations will be considered.

You must be able to plan and prioritise workloads and work accurately to deadlines. Good IT and GIS Skills and relevant experience along with good knowledge and understanding of urban/societal issues and how green infrastructure can help to solve these and deliver shared outcomes as also a must. In this role you will be working with partner organisation and working as part of a dispersed team experience of this is essential. Finally, you must have the ability to be flexible and be adaptable in response to changing priorities with knowledge of budget management within a large programme and project.

Closing date: 28th November 2016

Interview: 14th December 2016
