Description  

The Energy team are looking to employ to a technically focussed graduate to assist the very busy energy team with a variety of projects covering a wide range of technical disciplines. The ideal candidate will be highly numerically and IT literate and comfortable with modelling using a wide variety of software. We are looking for a candidate with at least some of the following knowledge, experience and skills. Where gaps exist, on the job training will be provided and we are primarily looking for candidates with a positive and inquisitive mind set, and a desire to learn.

The work load is likely to be diverse and will range from working on the technical elements of planning applications for renewable energy projects through to modelling of complex off-grid energy systems and using Computational Fluid Dynamics for wind flow modelling.

You:

As the successful applicant, you will hold some of the below attributes:

  • An undergraduate or masters degree in a Maths, Engineering or Science related subject
  • Knowledge of renewable energy systems
  • Knowledge of energy management in buildings
  • Knowledge of SAP/SBEM assessment
  • Knowledge of life cycle analysis and emissions reporting
  • GIS / AutoCAD
  • Understanding of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
  • Knowledge of basic economics and financial analysis
  • Knowledge of the UK planning system.
  • Strong report writing capability
  • Strong modelling capability
  • Competent with Excel
  • Strong grounding in IT, ideally with some Linux experience
