Vacancy – North East Organiser

Friends of the Earth Scotland is looking for an organiser to join in with our work towards a just transition for the North-East of Scotland. This role will lead on local engagement around a just transition away from fossil fuels, particularly focused on alternatives to the proposed new gas power plant in Peterhead.

Location: Home working with travel to events within the North-East of Scotland, particularly in Peterhead, Boddam and Aberdeen. Occasional travel to Friends of the Earth Scotland Edinburgh Head Office.

Reporting to: Activism Organiser

Hours: 4 days per week

Salary: £31,695 Pro rata (£25,356, FTE 0.8)

Other Benefits: You will receive a pro-rata share of 28 days annual leave plus 11 days statutory holidays.

Friends of the Earth Scotland operates a Company Pension Plan with NEST, which includes an ethical option.
