As statutory advisor on nature conservation to the UK Government and the Devolved Administrations, JNCC are looking for a full time Evidence Specialist based in Peterborough. This is a fixed term appointment until 31 March 2019.
The post will be within the Terrestrial Evidence team. The team supports a range of long-term contractual agreements to deliver biodiversity surveillance in the UK. Project management for a number of contracts will be a key part of the post. Additionally, the post will work with the team to develop novel applications of the data that are generated, in order to provide an effective evidence base for policy development, policy evaluation and decision-making at a range of scales.
The position advertised would require someone with good understanding of sampling strategies for species, and of the statistics that are generated.
