Zero Waste Scotland, Scotland’s resource efficiency and circular economy expert is looking for an experienced event management professional to be responsible for the coordination, direction, marketing, delivery and evaluation of a major event.
The Event Project Manager will play an integral role in ensuring the event is delivered to the highest standards.
You will work with partners to design and deliver the event, ensuring content is diverse and relevant, with the greatest possible value to delegates, maximising the profile of the event within Scotland and overseas.
You will oversee the development of a detailed marketing strategy that is promoted to the targeted audience. You will also ensure the event is delivered within the principles of the circular economy by reducing its environmental impact and preventing waste and produce a report evaluating the event against its objectives.
The ideal candidate
Proven experience delivering events that define good practice is an essential requirement for the successful candidate.
You will have demonstrable experience of coordinating, directing, delivering and evaluating major events.
You will be able to evidence experience of delivering marketing / communications projects which demonstrate capabilities across a full suite of communications disciplines (market research, campaign development, brand ambassadorship, direct marketing, digital marketing (e.g. Google Analytics, Google AdWords, E-marketing systems, website management) etc. including previous success in driving uptake of events.
You will demonstrate experience of stakeholder engagement within a communications setting and evidence working with and influencing a wide range of stakeholders to deliver outcomes.

Salary and benefits
£32,403 (pay range is £32,403 - £38,121 and the successful candidate will be appointed to the starting point).

This role is based in our Stirling office located next to Stirling railway station and is conveniently accessed from across central Scotland.
This role is funded by the Scottish Government and the European Regional Development Fund.
