This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a skilled environmental consultant / senior environmental consultant looking for their next challenge. 

-       Environment Consultant:  at least 2 yrs professional experience

-       Senior Environment Consultant:  3+ yrs professional experience

This position would ideally be full time but a part time alternative would be considered for the right individual.  Remote working for part of the week can be accommodated.

Environmental / Senior Environmental Consultant

We are seeking a well-qualified and experienced individual to join in our ambitious growth and development plans.  The role will be primarily desk based and duties would include contributing to environmental planning and assessment projects, including:

-       Sustainability Appraisals, Strategic Environmental Assessments and Habitats Regulations Assessments of local planning documents and related strategies

-       Environmental/Ecological Impact Assessment of masterplanning projects

-       Green Infrastructure planning

Role Requirements

-          Qualified to degree level or equivalent in environmental science or a related discipline

-          An MSc in a relevant subject would be highly beneficial

-          Thorough knowledge of UK legislation and technical guidance in relation to environmental assessment, planning and nature conservation

-          Demonstrable track record in producing high quality written reports suitable for public consultation

-          Membership/Chartership within the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) or similar professional institute is essential

-          Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately to internal and external stakeholders, both verbally and through written communication

-          Numeric literacy, and good capability with common computer applications

Desired Experience

-          Use of GIS software, particularly ArcGIS

-          Use of statistical analysis packages such as R studio

-          Working with a range of environmental disciplines

-          Business development in the environmental sector, bid preparation and sales

Key Responsibilities

-          Day to day client liaison and reporting on progress against time and budget

-          Ensuring that your portfolio of projects are on track for delivery within time and budget

-          Producing high quality technical outputs and contributing to technical reviews of content written by others

-          Providing technical guidance and support to junior team members
