RBC is recruiting an Environment and Compliance Co-ordinator to develop a compliance strategy, practice and procedures on fishing vessels. Investigate and develop means by which the environmental sustainability of business activities can be maximised.
RBC Ltd is a company located and registered in the Falkland Islands. This 2 year role will facilitate the successful deployment of a compliance strategy for fishing vessels operating in the Falkland Islands for the Company
The main accountabilities are:
• Develop company and vessel environmental protection and sustainability practices including reducing company’s carbon footprint
• Develop and implement strategies and standards for compliance
• Monitor compliance risk controls to identify deviations and proffer recommendations on the management of compliance issues
Main essential criteria:
• BA / BSc (hons) degree in a relevant subject
• Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills.
• High level of ethical standards.
• Knowledgeable on environmental topics.
Main desired criteria
• A good level of both spoken and written Spanish to be able to effectively communicate with captains and crew
• MSc in a Fisheries related subject.
