We are seeking a highly motivated, organised and enthusiastic environmental educator with experience of leading outdoor education activities. The post is a fixed term of one year, starting in September 2021. You will be creative, have strong organisational and communication skills, and a passion for connecting people to local wildlife and wild spaces.
The successful candidate will have experience in, and knowledge of, environmental education and engagement, and the ability to communicate with a wide audience. You will be able to deliver and develop national curriculum-linked activities for schools, and also work with early years to university age students (including guided walks, fieldwork and outreach). You will also deliver informal activities for families. This role involves developing and delivering educational activities for externally funded education and engagement projects for young people and families.
You will work closely with NWT staff from a range of teams, developing a positive and productive relationship with the NWT Engagement Team and other colleagues. The role will also involve working with partner organisations on projects, and at events.
The role is based in Norwich but will involve delivering sessions and activities at a range of sites across Norfolk, including NWT reserves, schools and in the wider community. You should be flexible in working practice to accommodate any further covid restrictions and homeworking if required.
