Oxfordshire is a council committed to tackling the Climate Emergency through rapid decarbonisation, tackling inequalities and providing opportunities for everyone in Oxfordshire to achieve their full potential.
About the role
Reporting to the Oxfordshire Retrofit Team Lead, this post will oversee the successful delivery of an exciting new programme of work, to lead on acquisition of active users of a soon-to-be-launched Oxfordshire Energy Insights app resulting in measurable energy-cost and carbon savings through increased awareness of energy demand, tariff switching and accessing retrofit measures via an innovative monthly subscription model.
The energy insights app, successful elsewhere, to be adapted and white-labelled to Oxfordshire will model scenarios that could re-define the energy market. The project manager’s role is to manage Oxfordshire County Council’s involvement in the project, maximising outcomes by working in close liaison with the resource assigned to the project from the Marketing & Communications Team to engage as many Oxfordshire residents as possible into being active app users. Working collaboratively with the project partners and funder will also be important to the long-term strategic success of this project, initially funded to end-March 2025.
You will be responsible for project, programme and budget management, stakeholder communication, reporting and following corporate governance to release funding.
About you
We’re looking for an enthusiastic ‘self-starter’ for this exciting new project. Ideally, you’ll bring experience of energy efficiency / retrofit / electricity grid-edge management / product-launch marketing, and be able to effectively project manage within a consortium of delivery partners.
