Description

Qualified/experienced in giving energy advice? We are expanding our programme to help some of the most vulnerable Londoners keep warm this winter and manage their energy bills? Come join our award-winning Green Doctor team at Groundwork London.

Our Green Doctors deliver home visits across London. The visits are a mix of advice, installation of small practical energy-saving measures such as low energy light bulbs and draft proofing and referring on to other health and wellbeing services. We aim to reduce our client’s energy bills and save them money in a variety of ways including providing a bill switching service.

You will be a practical, people-person with a passion for helping vulnerable people. You must have a thorough knowledge of energy efficiency to provide in-home tailored energy saving advice, and the ability to adapt your approach to suit our client’s varying needs.

You must be comfortable with lone working and in managing your own workload.  Experience of training and working with volunteers is also desirable.

A qualification as Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA), NVQ Level 3 (6049-03) Provide Energy Efficiency Services, or City and Guilds Energy Awareness (6281-01) is essential, but relevant experience in the field will be considered.

A full clean driving licence is required.

Groundwork London is a leading community regeneration organisation working with people living in some of London’s most deprived places. We help communities to transform open spaces and support people through training, education and gaining employment, as well as raising awareness of environmental sustainability.
