Groundwork London is a leading social and environmental regeneration charity delivering over 500 social and environmental projects each year, many of which support people to stay in education, gain new skills and secure employment.   

The Trust is delivering a significant number of Employment and Skills contracts from funders including Skills funding Agency, DWP, Big Lottery and Home Office and this is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidates to join our high performing, growing teams that will support over 2000 unemployed Londoners to gain new skills and progress into employment.  

Through Circle, we are able to support refugees and asylum seekers in work in Central London. We are seeking an experienced Employment Advisor to work on this programme and provide Information, Advice and Guidance to assist workless refugees into sustainable employment or training.  

We are seeking a customer-focused and target-driven individual to assist and motivate clients to overcome barriers to employment.  You will hold IAG level 3 or above and have experience in delivering a structured and accredited IAG programme. You will have experience of working with refugees and asylum seekers

Your responsibilities will include outreach work to encourage clients to join our provision, working with individuals on CV writing, interview skills, applications and job-search techniques, undertaking assessments, designing and monitoring individual action plans and delivering training.

A team player, you will offer excellent customer service and have the ability to organise and facilitate recruitment on behalf of employers and candidates. You will independently source and secure other employment opportunities with employers and actively broker clients into these roles.
