Description |
|
Oxfordshire County Council are seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced ecologist to oversee the ecological planning function with the council.
The purpose of the role is to:
- Lead the provision of efficient and effective ecological advice to support the development management planning function of the County Council.
- Lead the ecological input to County Council and where appropriate District / City Councils’ plans, policies, and consultations.
- Manage the Protected Species and Ecology Officers’ professional inputs and workloads and to meet any future income targets that may be set against these posts.
- Lead the provision of ecological expertise to the development of natural environment initiatives in the county, ranging from parish level conservation to strategic projects.
- Support other natural environment functions of the team, and work with colleagues to provide a high quality service to councillors, officers, members of the public and other professionals.
