Description  

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop our conservation work in the East Midlands Region (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Rutland and Lincolnshire). The main focus of the post will be to develop and deliver landscape-scale conservation projects to conserve threatened species and habitats in key landscape target areas, and to build capacity among our volunteer Branches in the region.

Other duties include providing management advice to landowners and site managers, organising surveys and monitoring, and recruiting and training volunteers. Working with our fundraising team, you will submit funding applications to support conservation action across the region.

Good knowledge of butterflies and moths, habitat management and landscape-scale conservation, project development, experience of working with landowners, site managers and volunteers, and excellent communication skills are essential.
