This really is a once in a lifetime opportunity for a skilled and ambitious project Director. You’ll be responsible for delivering a series of projects of significant environmental and economic value, demonstrating how a major development can be managed in a protected landscape to become an environmental exemplar. Sirius Minerals have planning permission for a ground breaking project to build and operate the world’s largest Polyhalite mine at a site near Whitby. Part of the permission embodies a Section 106 agreement that provides long term funding for the National Park Authority to enable us to work with communities adjacent to the mine, manage the planning aspects of the construction phase and carry out a wide range of practical actions in relation to the environment and tourism to mitigate the effects of the development. As Director you will have a small team to work with and will be responsible for putting in place a coordinated approach to the Section 106 agreement across the Authority’s functions. You’ll need to have some great skills and be able to demonstrate to us your; • Outstanding project management skills; • Ability to deliver on the ground on time and on budget; • Commitment to working constructively with people; • Enthusiasm for National Parks and what makes them special.
