Thames21 is the leading waterway charity in London. The charity is a vibrant and growing organisation with 25 staff working throughout Greater London and beyond. Its two offices are based in Central London and in East London, along with an Education Centre in Brent. This dynamic and rapidly developing charity is looking for a key member of the team.
The successful candidate will work alongside the Development Manager to increase the reach and impact of Thames21’s work, to develop and trial innovative and effective new projects which can be shown to respond directly to the needs of London communities.
Applicants should have:
- A minimum of three years’ project experience, preferably in the charity sector.
- Understanding of the environmental issues that face urban waterways.
- Experience of working with communities.
- Track record of project development and delivery.
- Ability to work well with operational teams.
- Comfortable working with a broad range of partners such as statutory organisations, local government, the voluntary and private sectors.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, IT and budgeting skills and experience.
- Ability to rapidly assimilate and retain up-to-date knowledge of Thames21, its projects and programmes.
- Relevant academic or professional qualification.
