The Ramblers is looking to recruit a skilled and experienced individual to manage the GB delivery and coordination of services that help people go walking, whether they are first time walkers or experienced hikers; whether they want to walk independently or in a group; or to walk in our towns and cities or in our countryside and wild lands.
Ramblers services are delivered through by volunteers across Great Britain. This role will be responsible for managing a team of GB officers, and coordinating closely with Ramblers Cymru and Ramblers Scotland to support volunteers to deliver consistent services for walkers.
Essential Requirements include:
- Substantial experience of programme delivery
- Experience of supporting volunteers on a large scale
- Experience of managing a volunteer training programme
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience of managing multiple work streams
- Strong experience in building and maintaining effective partnership working at all levels
- Knowledge of and ability to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures
