If you enjoy working outside, where no two days are the same, this could be the role for you.

On top of the advertised salary, there is a weekend working enhancement of 9.9% to the salary.

Fixed-term contracts until 30/06/22

The main work location is Black Park Country Park

About the role

You’ll be joining a close-knit and friendly team, who will support you to get off to a great start with us. This is a fast-paced and dynamic role where you’ll work with colleagues to:

  • Undertake a range of activities across our country parks, including general maintenance such as mowing, strimming, fencing, and minor tree works.
  • Provide exceptional service to our customers, dealing with enquiries and health and safety issues as they arise.
  • Make sure our sites are kept clean, including emptying bins and clearing litter.
  • Work with our commercial team to support income-generating activities, including events and location filming.
  • Grow and deliver our commitment to wildlife conservation, including seasonal grazing, invasive species control, heathland restoration and other habitat management practices.
  • Carry out all duties with an awareness and understanding of safety requirements.

About you

From liaising with the public to keeping our parks clean, you’ll work to promote responsible behaviour and ensure our sites remain a safe place for our visitors to enjoy. You’ll enjoy working outdoors in different conditions.

An adaptable and proactive attitude is key, with plans often changing last minute due to adverse weather conditions or on-site incidents that need your assistance. Above all, you’ll be enthusiastic and ready to further develop skills by working with our dedicated team of Rangers.

Sam, Ranger at Langley Park said, ‘No two days are the same; it’s a very satisfying job and a beautiful place to work.’
