My client is a market leader in the manufacturing and developing of wind turbines. They have one of the most highly sought after products and have developed and managed wind farms in South America, Asia Pacific and EMEA region as well as being a market leader on the European and North American markets.
Core Criteria:
My client requires a country manager that has experience and skills at encouraging the growth of onshore wind projects in France and has a proven track record at developing strong relationships with utilities and developers. You will manage and grow the French team and have full responsibility in the region. This position will report directly into EMEA Director of one of the largets wind companies in the world giving you the opportunity to become a major player in the international wind market.
Responsibilities:-
- Intire responsible for the company in France, including managing the team of contract negotiators, business development leaders, engineers and the wind farm developers
- You will oversee the development of initial relationships with developers, operators, manufacturers and investors of onshore wind project in order to achieve the end result of project development in the onshore wind market in the region
- Travel extensively across Europe developing and maintaining key relationships in the wind market
- You will demonstrate ability to lead negotiations team towards results that will ensure company project development across Europe
- Review and analyze sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness
- Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations for the wind energy company and that your team is performing within the framework of the company
- Manage a pipeline across Europe that supports the company`s growth strategy in onshore wind projects
- Work with the technical, legal and projects teams providing support through the entire development process
- You will securing multi million Euro(EU) contracts with operators, developers and manufacturers of onshore wind projects
- You will focus on multiple projects with the ability to manage individuals who are working independently and do not require micro-management
Education:-
A MSc minimum in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering or business managment degree.
Core Requirements:-
- You will have 2-5 years experience in a managing director, country manager or senior business development position in the French onshore wind market
- You will have worked in the wind industry for 5-10 years with a focus in the onshore market]
- Excellent connections with major utilities in the French market
- Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
- Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
