Your Role

With presence in 13 offices, we  deliver projects throughout the UK, using our regional expertise and strong relationships across the national ecology team to further strengthen our reputation. As a multidisciplinary business, our ecologists are well integrated with other disciplines, working closely with planners, transport planners, engineers, project managers, landscape architects and archaeologists (to name but a few). Our projects involve delivering work across all sectors including defence, energy, residential, infrastructure and regeneration schemes. You will use the support of our ecologists combined with exposure to other disciplines and sectors to develop your skills in ecological consultancy.

An example of the projects we are currently involved with includes  major residential projects for large national housebuilders; re-development projects for military barracks for the MoD; and a strategic borough-wide great crested newt survey.

You will be supported by a large team of expert ecologists who will provide training and guidance to ensure you are completing ecological surveys and mitigation to our high standards and in line with published methodologies. We are therefore looking for ecologists who are positive, driven and eager to learn in order to develop their career within the ecology consultancy sector.

An eye-for-detail, GIS capability and/or previous experience of surveying and mitigation will be an advantage. A relevant degree as a minimum is required, as is a full driving licence, plus good ICT skills including MS Word and Excel. A working knowledge of relevant UK and European legislation, policy and guidance is essential as are project management capabilities, communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
