Description |
|
We are recruiting a trainee to join our Buckinghamshire Reserves team, delivering a programme of works across our Buckinghamshire reserves.
Tasks range from fencing and tree felling to species survey and livestock management. Alongside the day-to-day learning experiences on practical tasks, you will receive a substantial amount of external and internal training covering habitat management, species ID and surveying; this will include NPTC certification in CS30 & CS31 Felling small trees and a First Aid at Work certificate. Limited travel expenses are also available.
The position would suit those wishing to develop the skills required to follow a career in the wildlife and countryside sector. Applicants should have a keen interest in UK wildlife conservation, a good level of physical fitness, and be willing to supervise and lead volunteers. Relevant volunteering experience is desirable; please see the Role Description for a full list of essential and desirable criteria. A commitment of 3 days per week for 6-12 months is essential. Work days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8.30 am - 4.30 pm.
