Are you dedicated to working with communities to create better places? We are looking for a Community Project Officer to empower communities on West London housing estates to improve their green spaces.
At Groundwork London, we work together with residents, local authorities, public bodies, private companies and other voluntary sector organisations to support communities in need. Our community development activities aim to improve social cohesion, engage communities in local decision making, and facilitate social action to improve people’s lives and engender civic pride.
As a Community Project Officer, you will help deliver a wide range of community projects to engage both young and old. You will shape and facilitate community consultations, plan and deliver workshops and events, empower local decision making and work alongside Landscape Architects to turn community-led ideas into on-the-ground green space improvements.
The successful candidate will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effectively engaging and collaborating with communities, stakeholders and partners. To succeed in this role, you will also need experience in project management, sound MS Office skills and an awareness of or ability to utilise social media to connect with communities or promote projects or programmes.
