In order to maintain our independence Greenpeace does not accept donations from government or business. This means we are entirely funded by the generous donations of our individual supporters. Moreover our power as an organisation comes from the fact that when we advocate for the well being of the environment we do so with the support of more than 60,000 NZ supporters; decision makers are compelled to hear what we have to say. We have an important role in educating our supporters about the urgent issues we work on, offering them solutions and inspiring them to act with us.

The Community Outreach Programme Manager should be as passionate about the Environment as they are about Fundraising. The Community Outreach Programme Manager position is a key strategic role within the Face-to-Face department. The role is responsible for the day to day management of our  programme which is core to our face-to-face outreach and supporter recruitment functions of the organization. He or she will be responsible for creating strategic plans, leading their implementation, and the efficiency and effective operational performance of the Face-to-Face teams with the goal to achieve the Key Performance Indicators. 

This role involves working closely with the National Community Outreach Manager to deliver the overall vision for the outreach team ensuring that our high standards are adhered too.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic direction and relevant reporting and monitoring for the Street Program
  • Lead, motivate and develop key staff ensuring they have the skills to perform to a high standard.
  • Develop operational plans relating to the day to day running of the programme ensuring that they are implemented of time and to required standards.
  • Ensure strategic and operational plans are implemented so that the programme is meeting and exceeding Key Performance Indicators.
  • Managing key projects relating to the day to day running of Face-to-Face.

Requirements (essential)

  • At least 4 years experience managing and leading teams.
  • Under graduate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent in Microsoft Office including Excel.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience in staff leadership, motivation, and development and performance management.
