About the role

  • Full-time, permanent role

What will I be doing?

  • You will be the key interface between the public, operations team and the Somerset Waste Partnership, to help promote the new service and drive long term improvements to the service through innovation, behaviour change and effective communications.

  • The role will also work with the Somerset Waste Partnership to manage a fund established to support and incentivise local initiatives and innovation to increase recycling and reduce waste.
  • The role reports to the Corporate Affairs Manager for the South and sits within the 20 strong communications department within SUEZ recycling and recovery UK. You will maintain a close working relationship with the Contract Director responsible for the contract and the Somerset Waste Partnership team.

What are the requirements?

  • You will be confident and out-going in nature and be able to engage with and speak to a variety of different individuals, groups and organisations, .
