Join Britain’s biggest walking charity to help more people enjoy the benefits of walking.

We are looking for a highly skilled Communications Manager to contribute to the development of a new communications strategy for our charity. You will play a leading role in identifying opportunities to tell impactful stories about our charity, our work and our people to help build awareness and develop our brand and positioning. You will work across all comms channels and functions, playing a critical role in creating, improving and maintaining great content.

As a new role within the organisation, there is a lot of scope to shape the role and make it your own – whilst contributing to the broader strategic development of communications for Britain’s walking charity. We have incredible stories to tell, and we’re looking for someone who has the energy and motivation to help unleash our potential.

This is an exciting time to join the Ramblers team and a great opportunity to make a lasting and tangible impact on the future success of the charity.

Essential Requirements include:

  • Significant demonstrable experience of working in a communications, PR or marketing role.
  • A track record of success in setting, managing and delivering integrated communications plans.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with portfolio of written work.
  • Proven ability to identify compelling stories and craft impactful and engaging content.
  • Proven ability to manage a range of internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines in a dynamic and flexible environment.

The Ramblers are an equal opportunities employer.  We warmly welcome applications from appropriately qualified people from all sections of the community and aim to promote diversity.
