The Coigach & Assynt Living Landscape Partnership (CALLP) is one of the largest ecosystem restoration projects in Europe; funded principally by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) with support from a number of other funders. This 5 year scheme is the first significant step towards improving ecosystem condition and habitat connectivity, to enhance the built and cultural heritage and to support rural businesses and skills in the area.
The Partnership is looking to recruit an experienced project manager to lead the CALLP Delivery Scheme Team and to work with project partners to secure the implementation of a number of exciting and innovative projects that span the environment, built and cultural heritage.
You will have responsibility for the Scheme’s progress and the financial management and reporting of progress to the CALLP Scheme Delivery Committee, HLF and other funders. You will support the Project partners in identifying and securing any further match funding requirements identified throughout the Scheme’s lifetime.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an aptitude for building and sustaining effective partnerships with local partners and the local community. Experience of managing media activities to raise the profile of the Partnership’s work, and to inspire others to be involved, will also be an important element of the role.
Applicants should be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline, or be able to evidence success in a similar role. This means they will be able to demonstrate excellent project, financial and people management skills and be a talented and adept communicator.
Importantly they will have a natural flair and the ability to work effectively within this remote area with its rich and inspiring diversity of people, cultural, built and natural heritage.
The role will involve travel and therefore a full valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is desirable.
