The climate change agenda is fast becoming the top priority of our generation and Chorley Council has declared a Climate Emergency and launched a commitment towards reducing carbon emissions, as well as offering vision and direction to residents on green issues.

We are looking for someone with strong project management credentials and ideally experience in an environmental discipline to help shape the future for Chorley and its residents.

You will help to design and implement solutions to the climate emergency aligned to national policy and guidance, working with colleagues from neighbouring Councils, reporting on the delivery of the Councils environmental agenda.

You will develop the Council’s strategies, policies and actions for renewable and sustainable energy and fuel poverty to achieve the Council’s net zero carbon emissions for the borough by 2030 and help deliver decarbonisation of the borough’s homes, Council assets, businesses and schools.
