We are looking for a first class business manager to oversee and develop the day-to-day functions of the Earth Trust Centre, its buildings, the office and gardens, as visitor facilities. The people that use the Centre are diverse and include school groups, people hiring space, visitors to courses, events and activities, as well as volunteers and staff.
You will be equally at home and enjoy working with people, promoting the Earth Trust, being ‘front of house’ and overseeing the administration of its buildings and facilities.
You will be very organised and resourceful, able to manage, work alongside and develop staff and volunteers to provide the very best experience we can offer visitors. You will be commercially aware and able to manage budgets large and small, taking overall responsibility for the development of the Centre, its buildings (currently Fison Barn, Poem Tree café space and learning barn, office including meeting rooms and four rental properties), how they are used as well as the courtyard and gardens that immediately surround the Centre. We expect commitment – our aspiration is that the Centre will change significantly over the next few years and become a place where an increasing number of visitors interact with the Earth Trust.
The benefits
We offer an excellent opportunity to use all your business skills in a small, busy and ambitious organisation. The Earth Trust’s eco-built offices are set in breathtaking countryside, just south of Oxford. The Trust is offering a good benefits package including a pension scheme.
