Description  

The Energy Team at UWE is responsible to meeting the challenging carbon reduction targets set by the University at this time of climate emergency.  Aware of the need to engage all stakeholders to contribute to achieving the targets, this post focuses bringing about the cultural change necessary to ensure that everyone takes responsibility for carbon emissions across the university.  If you are interested in change, engagement, and have an eye to detail on managing the energy data to underpin this work, this is the role for you.

About you

This role is pivotal in bringing about the cultural change across UWE required to ensure that responsibility for carbon reduction is taken by all.  Responsible for managing the UWE Carbon Action Programme, the Carbon Action Manager will work across the university, engaging with and inspiring stakeholders how to play their part in contributing to the biggest challenge of this time.  You will be meticulous with data, which underpins this work, with an ability to work with large data sets to produce reports to identify carbon reduction solutions, benchmark energy performance and carry out project evaluations.  The position is held within the Energy Team, a supportive and motivated team on a mission, working closely with the UWE Sustainability Team and other key stakeholders.  This is an opportunity for you to bring together your technical energy management knowledge and your behaviour change experience in a large and complex organisation.
