My client is one of the largest global manufacturers within the wind energy space who also develop, design and market both onshore and offshore wind farms. They are now looking for an experienced Business Development Manager based in Athens to help drive their aggressive expansion throughout Greece and Europe.   

 

Position Overview:

My client is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager in order to grow the company’s influence in the Greek and European markets, generating new business opportunities. This position will require managing a team whilst working closely with the senior sales managers in regions across the USA. The Business Development Manager will be reporting directly to the Director of Sales and will be key part my clients continued growth in the European markets.

 

Responsibilities:-

  •          Key contact of the company in order to develop strong relationships with new and existing contacts in the wind market.
  •          Ensure that my client is in the bid process for large scale wind farm developments across Greece in order to path the way for my client to become a major player throughout Europe.
  •          Develop and implement strategic sales plans, forecasts and performance goals to achieve corporate objectives for projects within the US
  •          Demonstrate ability to negotiate large scale contracts with a team of bid managers, sales managers and support staff.
  •          You will manage the development of initial relationships with developers, operators, manufacturers and investors of wind projects in order to achieve the end result of project development in the wind market across Greece
  •          Manage performance of sales team and representative organizations
  •          Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations for the wind energy company and that your team is performing within the framework of the company
  •          Design strategic plans for global and strategic accounts in the market
  •          Team coordination at a national and international level

 

Education:-

A degree in Business is preferred

 

Core Requirements:-

  •          You must have 3+ years business development or sales experience in the wind market
  •          Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization and work closely with VP level managers in a large international company
  •          Ability to manage multiple large scale projects

 

General Requirement

  •          Ability to travel
  •          Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
  •          Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies

 

Key Skills:-

On shore wind, off shore wind, renewable energy, negotiations experience, business development, sales of wind turbines/generators or large wind projects, exceptional team leadership skills, experience with complex contact negotiations and complex stakeholder and customer management experience
