The 4 UNESCO World Biosphere Reserves bordering the Channel are embarking on an Interreg Manche Project to develop a joint approach to Bio-Cultural Heritage Tourism (BCHT). We are seeking a competent bi-lingual (French/English) speaking project manager to guide and shape this project until December 2021.
The BCHT Interreg project seeks to:
- Reduce the impact of tourism on sensitive areas by managing the destination in a smart and sustainable way;
- Change tourist and tourism business behaviour on sensitive natural and cultural sites;
- Increase the value and revenue through Bio-Cultural Heritage Tourism products and services.
If you have enthusiasm for the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve values, have a strong track record of managing and delivering complex projects, experience of environment and sustainable tourism marketing, diplomacy and able to cope with deadlines, we would like to hear from you.
The post will be based in North Devon Biosphere, but will be working across the partnership of Audomarois Biosphere Reserve, Iroise Biosphere Reserve and Brighton and Lewes Downs Biosphere.
