Description  

The Avon Gorge and Downs are two of Bristol’s best-loved and important wildlife sites. They are home to rare plants, breeding peregrine falcons, endangered invertebrates and have large areas of meadow and patches of woodland.

The area is looked after by the Avon Gorge & Downs Wildlife Project which has been running it’s highly successful engagement with a range of communities for more than two decades. We are seeking a Biodiversity Engagement & Learning Manager to lead and develop the delivery, and to be part of growing the Project as a whole to the next level. You will need to be highly collaborative and adaptable, doing everything from leading sessions with schools, running family events, giving talks and liaising with and reporting to partners and stakeholders.

You will have excellent communication skills, good knowledge of British wildlife/conservation and the enthusiasm to share this with others. You will also have the ability to work independently and in a team, excellent ICT skills, the ability to work under pressure and be flexible.
