Assistant Ranger

Title: Handa Assistant Ranger
Status: Volunteer, full time 2 April to end of August/early September (precise dates to be arranged)
Location: Handa Island, Sutherland
Salary: Accommodation provided and some help with living expenses
Closing date: Monday 14 March at 9am

Work with the Handa Rangers within a small close-knit team of volunteers to deliver visitor and conservation management on Handa Island Wildlife Reserve. Each volunteer will lead on a specialist areas of our work, but will also be expected to participate in all aspects of the work on the island on a rota basis during this long term residential placement.

Placements on Handa are widely recognised as important field experience and provide the successful applicant with valuable experience and networking opportunities with the Trust, the RSPB and with several seabird researchers and academics.
