We are seeking someone with passion and enthusiasm for the protection and enhancement of wildlife in Norfolk.
As Assistant Conservation Officer you will work as part of Norfolk Wildlife Trust’s busy People and Wildlife team supporting the administration and delivery of conservation projects including the County Wildlife Site system and NWT’s Churchyard Conservation Scheme. While the post-holder will be expected to provide administrative support to the team there will be opportunities to develop areas of project work. There will be some opportunity through this project work, and especially the Churchyard Conservation Scheme, to visit sites and support volunteers in the field.
You will need to be an excellent communicator, well-organised, with good ICT skills, including GIS, and a good understanding of ecology and conservation.
The post will provide opportunities to enhance your knowledge, skills and experience in conservation work by supporting existing staff across the range of their work.
