The Upstream Sustainability Services team assists major UK and international commercial and residential property companies, investors and occupiers to develop and implement sustainability strategies, calculate their environmental impact and report their performance. 

The Upstream Sustainability Services team needs an enthusiastic person to provide analytical support for one of our major projects:

  • Quantitative environmental and carbon data analysis, reporting and verification projects for multiple clients. This work will require keen attention to detail and will require you to be comfortable using excel for quantitative data analysis and synthesis.  

This position is ideal for a candidate who is currently an undergraduate / postgraduate of a relevant degree course or equivalent qualification, or at the end of their studies and are looking to initiate a career in sustainable business. The start date is early May 2019 and interviews will be held in March/April.

Responsibilities

  •  Undertake the collection, verification and analysis of client sustainability data – both quantitative and qualitative 
  •  Preparation of assessment reports and presentations with high level of attention to detail
  •  Acts as a point of contact for some client queries
  •  Time-management of own project work, under supervision, to ensure deadlines are met
  •  Other duties as required

Requirements

  •  Enthusiastic about sustainability and committed to change, knowledge of real estate useful
  •  Strong written and oral communication skills and/or highly numerate, with good experience of using excel for quantitative data analysis
  •  Strong academic qualifications to date (in a relevant degree subject or equivalent)
  •  High levels of attention to detail and accuracy in numeric and written work 
  •  Enthusiastic and self-driven; flexible and collaborative
  •  Ability to learn quickly and to take on board feedback from various members of the team
