Are you looking to use your flair and attention to detail in supporting our project delivery benefitting 1,000s of Londoners each year? If so we want to hear from you to help our ongoing EU programmes succeed.
Groundwork London is a community charity with a green heart that has been at the forefront of social and environmental regeneration in London for over 20 years. Each year we deliver hundreds of innovative environmental and social action projects across the capital.
Our Finance team manages the financial elements of our broad range of projects for our large and impactful charity. We monitor budgets and provide financial reporting to our diverse range of funders and other key stakeholders. This includes the finances of complex, multi-million pound projects including those funded from European, national, Lottery and local funders.
In order to benefit as many participants and clients in our integration and migrant programmes, we are looking for you to be a key Member of the Corporate Services team focusing on finance, compliance and data. As part of our Finance team you will be working with different staff teams across the trust as well as maintaining and building good relations with our stakeholders and funders.
As our Project Finance Officer you will be playing a central role in providing high quality financial management and administrative support with the purpose of maintaining the Trust’s financial evidencing and reporting obligations against our agreed responsibilities with our funders. You will require demonstrable experience of providing high quality financial and administrative programme support, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage and analyse financial spreadsheets and project KPIs trackers.
Our projects change places and lives for the better in some of London’s most deprived and disadvantaged neighbourhoods. This includes working with communities to make their neighbourhoods greener and more resilient to climate change, supporting long-term unemployed individuals to find work, helping young people get back into education and training, and advising residents how to save money on their energy and water needs.
Key requirements: Please contact us if you have:
- Excellent communications to work with staff teams to help plan effective project processes for non-Finance staff
- Excellent data capture and experience of managing information to produce accurate budget updates and meet funding and reporting KPIs
- Experience of the use and management of Financial packages; experience of Sage is desirable but not essential
- A track record of success managing project funding and reporting from inception to completion
